How to Remove SSL From cPanel

Last updated on Apr 08, 2024

At Hostyt, all hosted sites and domains are seamlessly integrated into our Auto SSL system, available at no additional cost across all our hosting packages. This ensures that if your domain points to us (either through nameservers or an A record), our system automatically requests and installs an SSL certificate for your domain if it's not already secured. This process is fully automated, requiring no manual intervention on your part.

However, if you prefer using a third-party SSL certificate instead of the one provided through our cPanel, you can easily opt-out of our Auto SSL for your domains by following these simple steps:

  1. Log into your cPanel account.

  2. Navigate to the "SSL/TLS Status" section within cPanel.

Here, you'll find a comprehensive list of all your domains and subdomains, along with their SSL certificate status.

  1. To remove your domain(s) from the Auto SSL process, simply select the desired domains from the list and click "Exclude Domains From AutoSSL".

By following these steps, you'll successfully disable the free SSL certificate for your selected domains on your account.
